# I can't sign in

> What each sign-in message means.

## "Email or password is incorrect"

Check the email for typos, then use **Forgot password** to choose a new password.

If you first signed up with Google, select **Continue with Google** instead. You don't have a password unless you set one.

## "Confirm your email before signing in"

Open the confirmation email we sent when you signed up. If you can't find it, select the option on the sign-in page to send a fresh link. See [I didn't get an email](/troubleshooting/missing-emails).

## "Too many sign-in attempts"

Wait a few minutes before trying again.

## I signed in but see "You're on the list"

Your account is saved, but you haven't been invited yet. Nothing is wrong. We'll email you when your spot is ready. See [Join the waitlist](/getting-started/join-the-waitlist).

## "Your session has expired"

Refresh the page and sign in again.
