# Planning targets and deadlines

> How Anchora decides dates.

Most dates in Anchora are **planning targets**. They're worked out from your intake to give you enough time, and they're labelled as targets.

A date is shown as an official deadline only when it comes from an identified official source, such as a university's application portal.

<Warning>
  Always confirm deadlines with the university or authority. Planning targets are estimates, not guarantees.
